Residential Arborist Sales / Business Developer
As a Residential Arborist Business Developer, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients and managing relationships with existing customers in the residential arbor sector. The role involves developing strategic sales approaches, understanding arboriculture practices, and using market insights to expand the client base. The Residential Arbor Sales role focuses on business development with the primary objective to manage and expand a client base for residential tree care and plant health services. This position requires both new client acquisition and the nurturing of existing client relationships to provide continuous, high-quality tree care solutions. This role is responsible for visiting client sites, conducting assessments, generating proposals, and closing sales while maintaining a consultative approach throughout the process.

? Client Engagement and Development: Actively generate leads, develop a strong sales pipeline, and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients. You are expected to engage in networking activities, identify opportunities, and establish a presence within the local market.

Solution-Based Sales and Client Proposals: Conduct site visits to diagnose the tree health needs of properties, propose tailored services, and deliver professional proposals that clearly communicate the value of the company’s offerings. The goal is to provide sustainable solutions for tree care and to build long-term relationships with clients.
? Regulation and Permit Compliance: A critical aspect of the role involves understanding local regulations, particularly around tree care permits. This is especially pertinent in areas where specific rules apply. ? Client Retention and Follow-Up: Beyond initial sales, the role requires a proactive approach to follow-up and ensuring ongoing client satisfaction. This includes post-service communication, assessing any additional needs, and addressing any concerns to maintain high client retention.
? Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, pricing, and competition to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
? Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms that align with the company’s objectives. Close deals that meet or exceed sales targets.
? Technology Utilization: Use CRM systems to track client interactions, manage sales pipelines, and generate performance reports.
? Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production and customer service, to ensure a seamless delivery of services and a high level of client satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:
? Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sales and preferably experience dealing with residential accounts.
? Certifications: PREFERRED – ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent certification preferred. A degree in Horticulture, Arboriculture, or a related field is advantageous.
? Arboriculture Knowledge: PREFERRED – Strong understanding of tree health, plant care, and pest control, with the ability to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
? Sales and Negotiation Skills: Expertise in developing sales strategies, creating proposals, and closing deals. Proven negotiation skills for securing favorable contracts.
? Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for building long-term client relationships. Excellent communication skills to explain services and provide expert advice to homeowners.
