Director of Operations- Landscape Construction

Our dedication to quality and sustainability drives our success, fostering strong community and client relationships. Is seeking a Director of Operations to spearhead the landscape construction projects. This role involves strategic oversight of project management, financial tracking, material procurement, and customer relations. The ideal candidate will ensure project efficiency and profitability, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Estimation: Develop accurate job estimates for large-scale landscape construction projects.
  • Material Procurement: Source materials and negotiate favorable terms to meet project requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage financial tracking and job costing to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • System Management: Maintain efficient procurement and payment systems.
  • Client and Inventory Oversight: Manage customer relationships and inventory, ensuring projects adhere to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in both long-term and short-term business planning and analysis.
  • Operational Management: Oversee snow management operations and attend critical meetings with owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Field Operations: Coordinate job site startups, layout planning, and provide direction and problem-solving support. Note: Significant field time is not initially required but may evolve based on individual capabilities and business needs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong competence in project management, including effective delegation and leadership.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with extensive data entry and processing.
  • Robust mathematical and financial skills to manage budgets and financial planning.
  •  Excellent purchasing and negotiating capabilities; prior purchasing experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of motivating teams and managing client relationships.
  • Experience in landscape construction or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
