Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize sales and technical knowledge to close complex contracts and maintain successful relationships with decision-makers and influencers throughout the long sales cycle.
- Strengthen and deepen working relationships with existing clients, including large public agencies, creating demand for additional services and renewals.
- Maintain a robust pipeline with daily prospecting and identify long-term projects for internal bidding/RFP/estimating.
- Track project information with extreme organizational skills after bid/RFP/estimate submission.
- Create high-performance sales plans and maintain proactive communication with all decision-makers and influencers.
- Consistently meet or exceed KPIs, goals, and benchmarks by managing and completing the sales cycle effectively.
- Collaborate with internal senior management and departments to ensure accurate and profitable bids and optimal timing for performance.
- Advance the company brand through website and social media upgrades, messaging, and content.
- Use cutting-edge technology, including Salesforce CRM, for sales and lead tracking.
- Maintain current, accurate information in the CRM regarding the pipeline, prospect status, client communications, contract scope, and estimates.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating customer service, best practices, accountability, integrity, ethics, and performance.
- Stay current on construction-related trends and developments.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of successful sales experience with measurable, aggressive results in long sales cycles for large projects within the landscape construction industry.
- Proven track record of maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, building meaningful relationships, increasing sales, and closing profitable contracts.
- Preferred: A four-year technical degree in Landscape Design, Architecture, Construction, or a related field.
