Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and drive sales efforts.
- Create and implement strategic and tactical plans for regional growth and profitability.
- Lead and ensure best practices for commercial and residential arbor services.
- Conduct continuous training on arbor best practices, safety, and equipment use.
- Implement continuous improvements to processes and efficiencies to maximize profitability while ensuring quality customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular site visits to optimize jobs, meet with customers, and provide quick resolution to challenges.
- Produce accurate, timely, and meaningful reports with suggested corrective actions for variances.
- Effectively use technology, labor, equipment, and resources.
Business Development:
- Optimize profitability and revenue through new business development, customer satisfaction, and retention.
- Assist sales teams with accurate estimates, successful client presentations, and profitable contracts.
- Ensure highest customer retention and satisfaction through relationship building, communication, quality control, site visits, and prompt resolutions.
Leadership:
- Manage, train, and mentor a small team, including sales and operational staff, to form a high-performing, high-morale, collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team.
- Drive accountability and KPIs within the sales team.
- Work closely with the former owner, who will now focus on sales.
Financial:
- Manage all financial aspects including budgets, cost controls, scope of work, change orders, schedules, materials, labor, and equipment.
- Implement corrective actions to increase revenue growth and profitability.
Growth Goals:
- Increase plant health care services.
- Expand residential and commercial client base.
Experience
- At least five (5) years’ experience successfully managing all aspects arbor/tree care for a branch with proven track record of growing operations, sales, accounting, customer satisfaction, customer and employee retention.
- Strong operational management skills with the ability to implement and improve processes.
- Arbor certification or related 4-year degree preferred but not required.
- Ability to conduct continuous training and lead by example with best practices for arbor, safety, accountability, performance, results and teamwork to deliver quality jobs and high customer satisfaction.
